Vaccination incentive launches | Nouvel incitatif à la vaccination maintenant disponible

This one-time incentive is for all Albertans age 18 or older who receive either a first or second dose of vaccine between Sept. 3 and Oct. 14.

After vaccination, individuals can go to and register online to receive a prefilled debit card. Alberta Health will validate all registrations against provincial immunization data. CIBC will distribute the debit cards on behalf of the Government of Alberta.

The first 15,000 Albertans will receive their debit cards in October. Debit cards for additional eligible registrants will be delivered in November and December.

Albertans who do not have access to a computer or a mobile device can phone 310-0000 for assistance.

Vaccine lottery

All Albertans who have received two doses of vaccine and are aged 18 and over are eligible for the remaining $1-million draw for Alberta’s vaccine lottery. To register and for complete details, visit The final draw closes Sept. 23.

Quick facts

  • Between June 1 and Sept. 9, 92 per cent per cent of Albertans in intensive care units with COVID-19 were unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
  • As of Sept. 9, 78.9 per cent of eligible Albertans have received at least one dose of vaccine and 70.9 per cent of eligible Albertans are fully protected with both doses.
